I will show you how to build the complete Power Automate solution where a user can complete a Microsoft Form, the response details will populate a Word Template without the need to use premium actions and then convert the file to PDF using a OneDrive feature. Further details are available here

Could you maybe demonstrate how to get the responses from an MS Form to the SharePoint library either directly or from the Excel workbook where the responses are collected?
Hello Damo, If there needs to be a approval (written digital signature) by 1 external person, what would be the easiest solutions without using Adobe Sign (with template)?
Excellent, but convert the file flow is failing , saying file cannot open , while opening through one drive directly its showing corrupted file.but from share point i can open.
I have a word template and once we enter something in the template, data needs to entered in excel and also a folder needs to be created in sharepoint and we need to save the word document in the folder.. Is this possible to do?
This is just what I need, is it possible to use this without using share point?
In the convert file the flow is failing, saying conversion is not supported. "InputFormatNotSupported / Bad Request". Any advice? The "ID" is from "Create file 2".
Very well done! I have a form that has 70 questions and 6 sections lol I guess I need a column created for each question in share point list?
This was brilliant thank you so much! How do i go about adding picture attachments that are attached to the microsoft form into the word template?
Thank you very much for these valuable instructions. It really helped me to achieve my goals through the use of Power Automate. Please keep up the good work!
Thanks! Saved me a lot of time
I was able to get this to work, however the added columns now appear for every file in the main “Documents” folder (and those nested within) I was hoping to get this set up in a separate document library so the columns only appeared in one place, but not for the rest of my document libraries. Did I do something wrong or is this just how it is?
This was super helpful, thank you! Is there any way I could have the word document attach to the email instead of a PDF?
Great video but the audio of the video isn't good.
Oh my, that is quite clever of you! I've scoured the internet looking for how to save a client's response to a list via power automate, and this does the trick rather ingeniously.
Hi, great tutorial! Can you do exactly this but instead of triggering from an MS Form, I have the email recipients name and email on an excel sheet? I want to do this but I can't find anything about it 🙁
Any help on how we can get signatures on a word doc without a premium Power Automate option? My process is this: A MS form is completed–> we use a Word Doc Temp and the data collected from MS form to updated file properties. As you are doing this, is it possible to get a signature from the user and add that to the word document without paying for it? Also, thanks for posting this video. Now, I do not have to pay for a premium feature to use a word template to generate a pdf!
Hi! This is super helpful. I've gotten it to work as you directed. BUT I'm actually more interested in the word doc than the PDF. If I follow your steps directly, the only word doc that has the content saved in the file seems to be the one saved to the OneDrive temporary folder, which isn't super helpful for my purposes. I need it in SharePoint. I tried to create that word doc directly in SharePoint, skipping the OneDrive steps, since I don't need the PDF, but that doesn't seem to work, it just saved a file without the content filled in. I'm not sure how to automatically save that particular file from OneDrive to SharePoint either. The only steps I've found are to get the content and create a new file in SharePoint copying the OneDrive file, but the contents don't carry over, so it is essentially the original template with a new name. I'm assuming because it isn't carrying over the file properties. Any insights?
I have tried to follow this but my PDF document only gets the output of the forms and the text in the Word template. The shapes and other non-character features are left out. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your reply. All sorted out now. Much appreciated.
Hi Damien. Thank you very much for taking the time to share this information. One question; How do you deal with a date that needs to be included in the certificate? I've tried without success and just get an error. Your help with issue would be much appreciated. Thanks, Adrian
Great tutorial, many thanks. I’ve created a Form that a whole department at work will use. When the email is sent at the end of the flow I want it sent to a central email address (I’m fine with that) but I want the email to be sent from the person who submitted the response on the form and not my own email address. Is that possible? Thanks
It really helped me lot. Thank you so much
This is fantastic, thank you!
We are using forms to gather data on field trainings, and automate certificate send outs for up to 20 attendees. On the form, we have a line for each attendee, is there a way to generate a new certificate for each attendee in one flow?
Fantastic Guide but a massive flaw. You don't tell us how to get out option for the form into quick parts. It's really difficult and yet to find a guide on how to do iy
Very nice video, I discovered Power Automation and I learned a lot from you. I works very well. Now I'm just trying to substract two responses from forms and fill a field in the word document but I'm not able to make it… Do you have an idea? Thanks a lot.
can you help me please? I´m gettin this error 'The template validation failed: 'The action(s) 'get_a:row' referenced by 'inputs' in action 'Condition' are not defined in the template.'.'.
It was very helpful.
I sincerely appreciate your creative code.
Hi, many thanks for this video. Can you also make a video how to merge this attachment with other attachments which were uploade by the user who fills in the form. How can I merge these files and mail this to an Emailadres? Many thanks!
Thanks again for the video, in the step Create file 3 ( creating a copy of the file on sharepoint) can we do that in the Create file 2 step staright away in order to reduce the number of the steps?
It Would be greate if you can make a video on : approval fllow and put signature on pdf files after approval and send back the approved request to the requester
Thank you very much for the video, I have figured out how to delete the word files after it has been generated.
at 7:36, "Get File Content" doesn't show up for me. Any ideas?
How can this be done on Mac?
Thanks i loved that you putted all the steps in your website by the way, you are my go-to source for power automate cool stuff
hola, tengo una consulta cuando creo el flujo me dice que el documento ya existe cada que envio un formulario entonces no se como hacer para que me lo tome sin problema y que adicional no se me almacene en sharepoint una copia de ese archivo.
Hi fox, easy question: Can you do that by using a sharepoint list instead of document library? I am developing an automated flow and collecting data from ms forms to a sharepoint list and for me it would be better not to change my current solution. Please let me know. Thanks.
