The advantage of using Office 365 to convert PPT to GIF is that it will preserve all the animation effects and transitions that you may have applied. Using a Free Online Service to convert your presentation to an animated gif might remove all the transitions and effects.
You have 4 different size options to convert your presentation into an animated gif: Extra Large 1920×1080 (1080p with 24FPS), Large 1280×720 (720p with 24FPS), Medium 853×480 (480p with 15FPS), and Small 427×240 (240p with 15FPS).
If you have drawn all the objects on the slide using Shape Tools then GIF dimensions will not reduce the clarity of the objects except for the JPEG pictures.
The second option is to export your PPT to MP4 and then later use an online service to convert your MP4 Video into a GIF. That way you can have all the transitions and effects inside the converted GIF. There are 100s of websites that you can do that for you for Free:
