In this step-by-step tutorial, learn how to create a fillable PDF form for free using LibreOffice (previously known as OpenOffice). LibreOffice is free and open source software that allows you to create forms and export as a PDF form. When you distribute your form, others can fill out your form easily. Once they complete your form, they can print or save their responses in PDF format. You can create a form using things like check boxes, option buttons, text boxes, and drop-down lists.

I am a bit disappointed there is not a tutorial for Adobe Pro Forms
This guy is absolutely amazing!
This was the best!!! Thank you so much, saved me so much money.
Hi Kevin. Can you please tell us how to change the font size in a text box in a fillable form? Thanks.
Thank you. You do a really good job of explaining software.
Hi Kevin. You are a genius. Any time I need to learn something new, I check your Vedios on YouTube. Thank you for your devotion to public.
Go to the webpage? Click download? What is this? Windows … oh. Never mind. Enjoy eating the bugs and owning nothing.
Thank you for your explanation. I want to make this form as a link so that when my customers click on the link, the form will open and after my customers complete it and hit the submit button, their completed form will be emailed to me. Please guide me in this regard
Always helpful and very thoughtfully organized! I tried converting to PDF and lost functionality of both date picker and time picker fields even though combo box content was retained after the PDF conversion. Now all the Date and Time "picker" fields do is impose date or time formating to entries.
Is there something I missed in these fields property settings?
Would paid MS 365 version of MS Word have succeeded where Libre failed?
Or is this something that is best provided by Adobe?
Thank you Kevin! I LOVE your channel….
is LibreOffice an opensource MS365?
Can you tell me why many of the features are greyed out?
Will I be able to create a form with simple formulas, like sum and count for example?
thanks
how can I add a button that can add an image to pdf
please
Great video. LibreOffice is something I been looking for long time. Thank you for showing me where to get it and how to use it.
How about the fillable image or insert image in pdf?
but when you save it as a pdf the fillable blanks don't make the trip???
Thanks very much.. more POWER.
Thanks!
Hi Kevin, I use often LibreOffice in place of MS Office but when I tried LibreOffice draw, I was unable to edit the pdf. As pdf I use Foxit, is it the reason why it didn't work? Any suggestion? Thank you!
Grrrr … my PDF keeps opening in LibreOffice DRAW rather that Writer.
Hi I have Windows 11 and it keeps crashing
Great tutorial video, but one question, why the text box doesn't align? some of the boxes seem to have minds of their own. they are lower then others on the same row.
OMG!! So helpful! Thank you so much!!
Can we add a serial number in it? How to do that?
Thank you! I can't wait to try it! I am old but I think even I will be able to do this.
>>I echo the comments of support, so far, Mr. K. Kookie!. I will test it out and comment, Thx, again,
>>Respectfully, NHG
Thanks you for creating this very helpful and clear video. Very much appreciated.
How do we send this form to customers ? And how do they send it back ?
Thank you !! Works perfectly !! Do you also how to add a field where someone could draw (using a pen on a tablet for example) his autoghraph ?
Amazing new world of pdf creation!! Wow! You have a fab way of teaching and you don’t talk too fast!! Thanks
When stuck and use You Tube for help, always happy to see Kevin's videos. So helpful and clear cut
Libra office is far more user friendly than both Microsoft and adobe. A follow up video to show how this form can be sent via email or viewed online and have a submit button
Thank you again for the very informative topic!… I'll try to design a similar one for our office….. More power to you, Sir…
Looove your videos Kevin – always EASY to follow. Thank you so much
Thank you Kevin. We just created an LLC and the info you provided will be key to our service delivery. Well done!
If one has Microsoft office specifically Microsoft excel, can one use that and save as a PDF form and accomplish the same thing?
