In this video, you will learn how to export Power Apps data to Excel thanks to the JSON function which allows us to send Collections, Tables and Gallery data to Power Automate flow. The flow will build the CSV file and send a response back to PowerApps with the exported excel spreadsheet file link. The excel file will be available to download in Power Apps. Best part is the flow is reusable and can be connected to any Power App and can export tabular data.

Awesome video Reza! Thank you so much for sharing this flow and all the filtered variations with us. I can already think of several use cases. I can’t wait to see the pdf version!
Can anyone please help me with this. I have almost replicated the application. The only thing I want is to have the option go send the csv file to the email ID I enter in the textfield of the app.
This really help me. Thanks alot Reza. Wish you all the best.
How I can export data in excel from power bi app using power automate??
Hey Am new to powerapps, this one helped me, but may I know how we can set the order of the exported file column custom as per my requirement
Again – Great video Reza, I use it constantly , one question though, is there a way to set the encoding of the CSV file to utf-8, since the non-Latin characters are showing as gibberish in the created file.
hi Reza! Thank you very much, this is so helpful. Just a question, my powerapp works fine before. Now, an excel file is being downloaded even before the users click the export to excel button? Do you know why it behaves like that?
Nice tutorial. At Create CSV table, what if I want Custom columns instead of automatic so I can arrange the columns order. What expression should I enter at the value input box?
thanks for the video. I have a question: Is it possible to just download the file to local drive???
If the gallery contains image so it directly save the image ?
Hi Reza, thanks so much for the video it is super helpful. I have one question, I have a canvas app pin to one of my teams channels. So, I've created the flow and it is creating the doc(excel) and saving in one drive, but I have an issue to actually download the file.
When i click on the botton it opens a browser with the file instead of downloading it. And even if I change the "Launch" to "Download" it stills opens the browser instead of downloading the file like in your video when it appear in the bottom of your screen. Any recommendations?
Appreciate Reza! but Collection columns order not correct as i passed, getting columns in alphabetical order. Please assist, how do i avoid alphabetical sorting for columns in collection.
Thanks a lot!
Hey, Reza, just a quick question
Set(varFileLink,Export_Excel_Save_Icon.Run().file_link);Launch(varFileLink);
when i use this , the excel file is getting opened in new tab but it is not downloading to my PC
Currently We are sending all the columns to flow and export to excel. I want to send dynamic columns to flow. The columns i need to choose from combo box. The combo box is multi select and it has all the column names from SharePoint list. When i select the columns from combo box only those values need to go to the flow and export to excel. So in excel i should see the columns selected in combo box.
TYSM Reza! There is no challenge that I could not solve through your videos! And it is always an incentive to optimize my apps again and again!
export gallery data into Excel using power automate can you please
You Rock, Reda!
Hello Reza, great video! It helped me a lot! I would like to ask if there is a way to reindex my csv columns like it were sorted in my sharepoint list because in the exported file are sorted alphabetically. Hope you can answer me 😀
Great video Reza, is there a way to send the file as attachment using the Office365 connector to Powerapps?
Thanks Reza. Are there any limitations for sending Json to Power Automate. If I have 10 columns and 2000 rows what would be the performance
Great tutorial Reza, thanks for that. I was able to create the axact same flow as you described, but when I open the SCV file it is not splitted into columns as it is in your video. Any idea what to change?
thanks for the wonderful demo
hello Reza!! first of all, thanks for that video, it helped me a lot 🙂
i have a question: how can the data be exported in multiple columns as you have shown? when i exported it became one single column with all the data per line
thanks!
From Sep 2021 , Using the OneDrive Create Share Link, I am now using "View" link type instead of the retired "Direct",You will get an error message running the flow
This is working perfectly, but idk why csv file is getting opened in online excel (instead of downloading it to desktop)
Hello Reza and thank you for this method; I applied your method all and works well but the final csv file contains a single column with the name of all the other columns I don't know why,
maybe because in France it uses (;) instead of (,) that's why the csv file is like that? how can i resolve this problem, thanks in advance.
Hey Reza, its really amazing with the experience you have been giving us to explore and drive properly with the concept, the video is really useful!/
I have a multiline column, but when I export the values are broken into different pieces that to fir in one cell. Bring know also used Substitute Function, with spaces but no working at all!.
can u suggest something on that, how dynamically we can do that?
Incredible Reza! Thanks!
The CSV file opens, by default, in a single column whit all the data separeted by commas, how can I change this?
Is there a way to show multi-choice columns?
Hi Reza its working good but I have facing one problem that I cant get the correct sequence of column in the csv file. Please advise on the same.
Thank you
Hi Reza, great video!
I have a question. In minute 23:00 you use the Collect function to collect the export data, then you clear the collection at the end of the function. If I where to use the ClearCollect function, would it do the same thing?
Thanks for sharing your content.
do you know how to export pdf attachments/viewer to excel?
Good Morning. First off THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your time you spend teaching us. These videos are instrumental in development and are a blessing. I have a question concerning custom options in advanced section of the create csv table. I have sorted my columns, however it is creating an individual file for each row in the flow due to the apply to each. I am not sure how to get past this. The columns get sorted correctly however the data is in multiple files and not just one. Any help or direction you might be able to give would be very helpful! Thank you again so much!
Thats great stuff! Thank you. At 21:35 where you create the collection: is it possible to custom sort the column names for the Excel output? Currently sorting is always alphabetical in ascending order.
Protect this man at all cost !
