00:00 – Use ProperSoft CSV2IIF to convert CSV or Excel files with transactions to the IIF format and import into Quickbooks.
00:06 – The IIF format allows better control for imported data than the QBO format and importable by older Quickbooks.
00:15 – The CSV file must have, date, amount, category (expense/income account), payee (vendor in QB), bank or credit card account name.
00:25 – Review transactions before importing, and click the ‘Convert’ button to create an IIF file.
00:31 – Make sure to backup your Quickbooks data file, before any IIF import.
00:35 – To import, in Quickbooks, select ‘File’ – ‘Utilities’ – ‘Import’ – ‘IIF Files’.
