In this tutorial you’ll learn how you can easily create custom QR codes for free. I’ll show you how you can then use the QR codes in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Feel free to grab your copy of the free Google Sheet QR code generator (link is below). All you need to do is add your URL to the cell and get your QR code. You can then copy the QR code and paste it in any application you want, including any Microsoft 365 Office application.
This way you can easily create a custom QR code for your website, video links, surveys etc.

It seems that copying and pasting of the QR code into Word or PowerPoint like I show in the video is no longer possible. It has been disabled. One way around this is to use the snipping tool or other apps to grab a screenshot and then paste that to Word or Excel. If you have other suggestions please share below.

In regards to the QR creation, I needed a better resolution to print the image on flyers. I unsuccessfully tried to increase the size of the QR by simply typing into the formula, instead of 500×5000, different sizes: 1000×1000 and 800×800. Is there a solution?

Could you also download this as a CSV and then import into the Description section of your Outlook calendar?

Hi Leila, does it matter that the site where the code snippet is listed said that the API is now deprecated? I just tried the create a QR code and it worked like a charm but I am wondering about the API. Thanks a bunch. By the way, great job!
